AFR Chairman Hsia received a delegation from the Australian Institute of International Affairs

On the morning of 25 April 2018, Ambassador Andrew Li-yan Hsia, Chairman of the Association of Foreign Relations (AFR), received a delegation of five scholars from the Australian Institute of International Affairs, and moderated a forum organized by the Chung-Hua Institute for Economic Research (CIER). Ideas on Taiwan’s New
Southbound Policy and Australia’s Asia-Pacific Strategies were exchanged in the forum. 
Five Australian scholars were Allan Gyngell AO, National President of the Australian Institute of International Affairs; Zara Kimpton OAM, National Vice President of the Australian Institute of Inter-national Affairs, Ms. Melissa H. Conley Tyler, National Executive Director of the Australian Institute of International Affairs; and Professor Caitlin Byrne, Director of the Griffith Asia Institute. Other discussants and panelists included Ms. Kristy Tsun-Tzu Hsu, Director of CIER’s Taiwan ASEAN Studies Center and Dr. Chun-Hsu Lin, Director of CIER’s Center for Green Economy.
