美國無預警要求中共當局在美國德州休士頓的總領事館，於本月廿四日下午前閉館，而且全館人員要離開美國國境。目前該總領事館人員忙著打包及燒毀機密文件，而近日美官方可能會進入該館進行搜索。
這不僅首見於美國與中共當局外交關係，而且是美國近期於南海、台灣（較遠的）周邊水域及空域頻繁展現武力後，與軍事、經濟手段三管齊下的針對性作法。
