【Francisco H.L. Ou Lecture Series】
The Association of Foreign Relations (AFR), Department of Diplomacy at National ChengChi University (NCCU), and the NCCU Department of Diplomacy Alumni Association jointly organized the first Francisco Ou Lecture on May 11, 2023. Dr. Ma Ying-jeou, the 12th and 13th President of the Republic of China (Taiwan), was invited as the speaker. President Ma’s speech, entitled "The Grand Strategy Our Country Should Adopt," discussed the diplomatic strategies this country should pursue, setting the tone for the following lecture series.

2022 School Lecture Series
2022 marks the ninth year since the establishment of the Association of Foreign Relations’ (AFR), as it continues to partner with schools across Taiwan to invite practitioners and field experts in lecturing courses on a myriad of subjects in fall 2022. By inviting professionals from public, private, and nonprofit sectors to share their expertise and experience within the political and economics field, we hope these introductory courses will expand students’ horizons and knowledge in the International Relations field, while also sparking their interests in understanding how Taiwan’s public affairs interact with and influence the world.

National Committee on American Foreign Policy (NCAFP) delegation visits AFR
Representatives from the National Committee on American Foreign Policy (NCAFP) visited the Association of Foreign Relations on November, 2020. AFR welcomed the delegation and offered insights on Taiwan’s current political and economic development. Issues pertaining to the relations across the Taiwan Strait and that between the United States, PRC (People’s Republic of China) and ROC (Taiwan) were also discussed.
