社團法人對外關係協會於本(108)年4月16日拜會台中市政府，由副市長令狐榮達代表市長盧秀燕表示歡迎。市府秘書處表示，台中市近年來積極推動國際交流與兩岸互動，希望透過對外關係協會協助市府開拓與國際的合作機會。
社團法人對外關係協會會長夏立言、前外交部長歐鴻鍊等一行34人今日來訪，受到令狐副市長歡迎。一行人先參觀市府願景館，導覽員介紹台中的生態環境、重要建設與歷史脈絡，也以互動媒體的方式體驗台中之美。
令狐副市長表示，國際及兩岸的事務很感謝對外關係協會，協會裡有很多老長官、老同學，只要有需要，他們都願意幫忙。希望未來強化雙方關係，促成更多合作機會。退休駐外人員的經驗很珍貴，也有助於市長盧秀燕主張的「貨出去，人進來」拼經濟方針，因此盧市長特別邀請夏立言會長擔任市府經貿文化交流工作小組委員，希望對台中拓展國際關係更有助益。
夏會長表示，很高興收到台中市政府的經貿文化交流工作小組委員會聘書，政府最重要的工作是讓人民生活幸福、賺得到錢。駐外同仁們在海外非常有經驗，尤其是東南亞與兩岸方面，很樂意開展分享、建立更多合作。
會後，令狐副市長贈送協會繪有湖心亭的漆器、和平梨山茶及花博綜合餅等禮品，夏會長則代表協會致贈感謝狀。

The group first visited the city vision hall, the guide introduced Taichung's ecological environment, important construction and historical context, and also experienced the beauty of Taichung through interactive media.
Deputy Mayor of Fox said that international and cross-strait affairs are very grateful to the Association for Foreign Relations. There are many senior officials and classmates in the association, who are willing to help as long as they need it. I hope to strengthen the relationship between the two sides in the future and promote more cooperation opportunities. The experience of retired foreign staff is very precious, and it also helps Mayor Lu Xiuyan's "goods go out, people come in" to fight the economic policy. Therefore, Mayor Lu specially invited President Xia Liyan to serve as a member of the city's economic, trade and cultural exchange working group, hoping to be more beneficial to Taichung's expansion of international

After the meeting, the Vice Mayor of Fox presented gifts such as lacquerware painted in the lake heart pavilion, peace pear camell tea and flower biscuits. President of Summer presented a certificate of gratitude on behalf of the Association.
The Secretariat pointed out that the Association for Foreign Relations is a non-profit, non-party non-governmental organization that goes beyond the party, making it easier to reach cooperation with other countries and expand future foreign and cross-strait economic and trade, cultural and academic, administrative and people-to-people exchanges. The Municipal Secretariat said that Taichung City has actively promoted international exchanges and cross-strait interaction in recent years, hoping to help the city to explore opportunities for cooperation with the international community through the Association for Foreign Relations.
A total of 34 people, including the president of the Association for Foreign Relations, Xia Liyan, former Foreign Minister Ou Ying, visited today and were welcomed by the Vice Mayor of Fox. The group first visited the city vision hall, the guide introduced Taichung's ecological environment, important construction and historical context, and also experienced the beauty of Taichung through interactive media.
Deputy Mayor of Fox said that international and cross-strait affairs are very grateful to the Association for Foreign Relations. There are many senior officials and classmates in the association, who are willing to help as long as they need it. I hope to strengthen the relationship between the two sides in the future and promote more cooperation opportunities. 社團法人對外關係協會於本(108)年4月16日拜會台中市政府，由副市長令狐榮達代表市長盧秀燕表示歡迎。市府秘書處表示，台中市近年來積極推動國際交流與兩岸互動，希望透過對外關係協會協助市府開拓與國際的合作機會。
社團法人對外關係協會會長夏立言、前外交部長歐鴻鍊等一行34人今日來訪，受到令狐副市長歡迎。一行人先參觀市府願景館，導覽員介紹台中的生態環境、重要建設與歷史脈絡，也以互動媒體的方式體驗台中之美。
令狐副市長表示，國際及兩岸的事務很感謝對外關係協會，協會裡有很多老長官、老同學，只要有需要，他們都願意幫忙。希望未來強化雙方關係，促成更多合作機會。退休駐外人員的經驗很珍貴，也有助於市長盧秀燕主張的「貨出去，人進來」拼經濟方針，因此盧市長特別邀請夏立言會長擔任市府經貿文化交流工作小組委員，希望對台中拓展國際關係更有助益。
夏會長表示，很高興收到台中市政府的經貿文化交流工作小組委員會聘書，政府最重要的工作是讓人民生活幸福、賺得到錢。駐外同仁們在海外非常有經驗，尤其是東南亞與兩岸方面，很樂意開展分享、建立更多合作。
會後，令狐副市長贈送協會繪有湖心亭的漆器、和平梨山茶及花博綜合餅等禮品，夏會長則代表協會致贈感謝狀。
秘書處指出，社團法人對外關係協會為非營利、超越黨派的民間組織，更容易與其他國家達成合作，拓展未來對外及兩岸經貿、文化學術、行政治理、民間交流等諸多領域。希望藉助協會力量，讓台中加速與國際接軌。

The Association for Foreign Relations of the Association of Legal Persons called on the Taichung Municipal Government on April 16, 2008 and welcomed Mayor Lu Xiuyan by Deputy Mayor Lin Fu Rongda on behalf of Mayor Lu Xiuyan. The Municipal Secretariat said that Taichung City has actively promoted international exchanges and cross-strait interaction in recent years, hoping to help the city to explore opportunities for cooperation with the international community through the Association for Foreign Relations.
A total of 34 people, including the president of the Association for Foreign Relations, Xia Liyan, former Foreign Minister Ou Ying, visited today and were welcomed by the Vice Mayor of Fox. The group first visited the city vision hall, the guide introduced Taichung's ecological environment, important construction and historical context, and also experienced the beauty of Taichung through interactive media.
Deputy Mayor of Fox said that international and cross-strait affairs are very grateful to the Association for Foreign Relations. There are many senior officials and classmates in the association, who are willing to help as long as they need it. I hope to strengthen the relationship between the two sides in the future and promote more cooperation opportunities. The experience of retired foreign staff is very precious, and it also helps Mayor Lu Xiuyan's "goods go out, people come in" to fight the economic policy. Therefore, Mayor Lu specially invited President Xia Liyan to serve as a member of the city's economic, trade and cultural exchange working group, hoping to be more beneficial to Taichung's expansion of international
President Xia said that he was very pleased to receive the appointment of the Taichung Municipal Government's Economic, Trade and Cultural Exchange Sub-committee. After the meeting, the Vice Mayor of Fox presented gifts such as lacquerware painted in the lake heart pavilion, peace pear camell tea and flower biscuits. President of Summer presented a certificate of gratitude on behalf of the Association.
The Secretariat pointed out that the Association for Foreign Relations is a non-profit, non-party non-governmental organization that goes beyond the party, making it easier to reach cooperation with other countries and expand future foreign and cross-strait economic and trade, cultural and academic, administrative and people-to-people exchanges. Hope to use the strength of the association to accelerate Taichung's international integration.
