本會與逢甲大學通識教育中心合作開設「全球化視野專題」課程,邀請17位擁有豐富國際經驗的卸任外交官及相關領域學者,依其專長及經驗介紹全球不同區域文化及政經趨勢;更在課後安排當日授課教師前往創客書屋,利用一小時的時間擔任「駐校外交官」,與修課學生面對面談論國際議題或相關生涯規劃,透過互動交流,深化學習效果。
9月13日第一堂課由本會會長夏立言大使介紹「全球化及全球重大議題」,夏大使曾任陸委會主委、駐印尼代表、駐紐約辦事處處長、外交部國際組織司司長等要職。他表示,在臺灣較難看到國際新聞,因此除了被動吸收,更重要的是主動了解,希望透過這門課程,培養學生對於國際事務的認識,進而正確的去解讀國際事件...他並說明臺灣近期面臨的各種問題,如斷交、東奧正名、APEC代表人選等,進一步談到兩岸議題,最後討論臺灣面對全球化應秉持的態度,幫助學生對於國際議題有更宏觀的了解。
接下來的課程會陸續邀請到外交部前部長歐鴻鍊、外交部前政務次長令狐榮達、前駐美代表沈呂巡等17位熟稔國際事務之卸任外交官及學者蒞臨,從兩岸、日韓、東南亞、歐盟、美洲等,全面討論國際及產業趨勢,讓學生具備全球視野。
