【聯合報刊登本會培育國際觀教育 前大使們大學開課】
外交部前部長歐鴻鍊及夏立言、鄭文華、令狐榮達等多位前大使，這學期陸續出現在大學校園，講授國際及外交事務，學生反應熱烈。這是對外關係協會推動國際觀教育的創舉。
對外關係協會已成立5年，由歐鴻鍊及熱心我國國際事務的產、官、學各界所成立的非營利組織。現任會長夏立言為推動大學校園國際觀教育，經多月籌畫及聯繫，今年9月起正式在中央大學、中原大學、中華大學、東吳大學、東華大學、政治大學、逢甲大學等七所大學，合作開設國際觀或外交相關課程與系列演講。
夏立言曾任外交部國際組織司司長及政務次長、駐印度與駐印尼代表等職。他深感台灣在當前兩岸、區域及國際變局中，更應有多元且深入的國際及兩岸事務教育，希望透過與大學學子面對面的接觸，有系統地將己身的研究心得與涉外實務經驗分享出去。
對外關係協會協助安排數十位現任與卸任資深大使、前政務官、業界專家、學者擔任講座。由於所選題材涵蓋國際或兩岸的政、經、軍、文諸多面向，所邀為一時之選，獲得好評。國際與兩岸事務課程，透過專題介紹與互動式講授的方式，學生不僅加深相關議題的理解，更提升涉外事務的興趣。

【Union newspaper published this association to foster international outlook education, former ambassadors start classes at university 】
Former Foreign Minister Au Jing, Xia Liyan, Wu Wenhua, and many other former ambassadors, such as former Foreign Affairs Minister, have appeared on university campus this semester to teach international and foreign affairs, and students have responded enthusiastically. This is the initiative of the Association for Foreign Relations to promote international education.
The Association for Foreign Relations has been established for 5 years and is a non-profit organization founded by the U.S. and industry, officials and academics who are passionate about international affairs in our country. Current President Xia Liyan, to promote international outlook education on university campus, after months of planning and contacts, has officially launched courses and lectures on international outlook or diplomacy at seven universities, including Central University, Central Plains University, Chinese University, Donghua University, Donghua University, Chengchi University, Fengjia University, and other universities since September this year.
Xia Liyan has served as director of the Department of International Organisations and deputy minister of political affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and representative in India and Indonesia. He deeply felt that Taiwan should have multiple and in-depth education in international and cross-strait affairs in the current cross-strait, regional and international changes. He hoped that through face-to-face contact with university students, he would systematically share his research experience with foreign-related practical experience.
The Association for Foreign Relations has helped arrange lectures by dozens of current and outgoing senior ambassadors, former political officials, industry experts, and academics. Since the selected topics cover international or cross-strait political, economic, military, and cultural aspects, I was invited to be a one-time choice and received positive reviews. International and cross-strait affairs courses, through special presentations and interactive lectures, students not only deepen their understanding of related issues, but also enhance their interest in foreign-related affairs.
