本(106)年3月4日及3月5日對外關係協會(以下簡稱本會)與美國國際私營企業中心(Center for International Private Enterprise, CIPE)於台北市合辦第二屆「東南亞智庫關係網路:區域工作坊」(Southeast Asia Think Tank Network Regional Workshop)。
約20名來自東南亞六國(印尼、菲律賓、馬來西亞、越南、柬埔寨及緬甸)的企業與公共政策相關智庫人士齊聚此一閉門會議,針對如何深化經濟改革及推動民主進程等議題進行討論及經驗分享,同時思考如何拉近東南亞各類似機構間的距離,建立更為緊密的關係網絡,以便互相扶持、資源分享。

Professor Huang Kuibo, Secretary-General of the Association, welcomed delegates from all countries in his opening speech, saying that the workshop is consistent with the purpose and mission of the Association, is promoting interaction between people and can help build and expand the exchange and understanding between our people and Southeast Asian institutions. Andrew Wilson, Executive Director of CIPE, also opened with a presentation on its central business and expectations for the workshop.
The CIPE has Kim Bettcher, Cathy Tai and Ryan Evangelista flying from Washington or Manila to Taipei to attend. The senior consultant of the Association, Tudonghao consultant and representatives of our group members also exchanged views with Southeast Asian think tank and CIPE staff on the afternoon of the first day. On March 5, the workshop also invited researchers from the Institute of Political Studies of the Central Academy of China's Central Academy of Science to exchange views on the history and trend of Taiwan's democratic politics.

About 20 business and public policy think tanks from six Southeast Asian countries (Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar) gathered for this closed-door meeting to discuss and share experiences on how to deepen economic reform and promote democratic processes, and to reflect on how to bring similar institutions in Southeast Asia closer together and build closer networks for mutual support and resource sharing.
Professor Huang Kuibo, Secretary-General of the Association, welcomed delegates from all countries in his opening speech, saying that the workshop is consistent with the purpose and mission of the Association, is promoting interaction between people and can help build and expand the exchange and understanding between our people and Southeast Asian institutions. Andrew Wilson, Executive Director of CIPE, also opened with a presentation on its central business and expectations for the workshop.
The CIPE has Kim Bettcher, Cathy Tai and Ryan Evangelista flying from Washington or Manila to Taipei to attend. The senior consultant of the Association, Tudonghao consultant and representatives of our group members also exchanged views with Southeast Asian think tank and CIPE staff on the afternoon of the first day. Director Wu Zhenhua of Taiwan Foundation for Democracy was invited to attend the session. On March 5, the workshop also invited researchers from the Institute of Political Studies of the Central Academy of China's Central Academy of Science to exchange views on the history and trend of Taiwan's democratic politics.
