Secretary-General Huang Kuibo of our Association submitted a letter to the joint newspaper to put forward four views on the announcement of the Holy Nation's break of diplomatic relations with our country (this article does not represent the position of the Association). Welcome to read
Today, when there is no longer a "92 consensus" and a "diplomatic truce" protection between the two sides and diplomacy, the holy country and me are likely to cause the imagination of some of my diplomatic relations countries, actively gain tacit understanding with mainland China, and abandon me at a critical moment. If the DPP government wants to avoid such repeated diplomatic strikes, it would be practical to look at how the political tacit understanding of past cross-strait interaction has led to temporary peace in the diplomatic field.
[This break of diplomatic relations] can't help but feel sad once again, the international community is so upset. Without a solid foundation such as economy or military, and without the soft power of the United States, democracy and human rights, etc., there is no room for our country to gain a dissatisfied but barely acceptable diplomatic space. No matter what, China needs a friendly diplomatic space and good economic and trade strength before it can survive and develop and compete with other countries in the global arena.
