「台英國會小組」（UK Parliamentary Taiwan-British Group）共同主席伊凡斯下議員（Nigel Evans MP）率英國下議院議員一行12人，於本（民國104）年7月27日下午拜會對外關係協會。
協會由鄭文華副會長（前駐英代表）出面接待，其他與會者包括協會常務理事暨外交部外交及國際事務學院徐勉生副院長（曾任外交部歐洲司司長）、黃奎博秘書長、張綺芬副秘書長，以及國立政治大學林碧炤教授和魏玫娟教授、銘傳大學陳偉華教授等人。
伊凡斯團長2010年至2013年曾任英國下議院副議長，期間並2度訪華；他於致詞中表示此次訪團為歷年來，英國議員訪華人數最多的一團。鄭副會長對該團造訪協會表示感謝。
為時一小時的交流中，雙方針對台海兩岸政、經、安全議題，以及台英雙邊貿易、香港模式問題，進行了精要的討論。
Nigel Evans MP, co-chair of the UK Parliamentary Taiwan-British Group, led a group of 12 members of the UK House of Commons to meet with the Foreign Relations Association on the afternoon of 27 July 2014.
The Association was received by Vice President Wu Wenhua (former representative in the UK). Other participants included Xu Miansheng, the Executive Director of the Association and Vice President of the School of Foreign Affairs and International Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (formerly Director of the European Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Secretary Huang Kuibo, Deputy Secretary-General Zhang Xifen, as well as Prof. Lin Bixin and Prof. Wei Wei Wei of the National Chengchi University,
Chief Evans served as deputy speaker of the UK House of Commons from 2010 to 2013, during which time he visited China twice; he said in his speech that the visit was the largest number of British MPs to visit China in history. Vice President Wu thanked the group for visiting the association.
During the one-hour exchange, the two sides held a thorough discussion on cross-strait political, economic and security issues, as well as Taiwan-British bilateral trade and Hong Kong model.
