(中央社記者唐佩君台北4月30日電)日本前首相野田佳彥今天向台灣致歉,對3年前311大地震追悼儀式未讓台灣代表上台獻花,他坦言當時不夠周到,要對台灣的深情厚義表達深深謝意。
野田佳彥(Yoshihiko Noda)眾議員今天率團訪華,這是他卸任首相後首次來訪,今天下午應社團法人對外關係協會邀請,以「日本再生與日台關係」為題發表專題演講。
他演講一開始先對尼泊爾發生的強震造成重大傷亡致哀,並表示日本2011年發生大地震,也曾經歷過這種慘痛經驗,提到當時有許多國家伸出援手,但台灣非常特別,不但援助物資及救災,更捐出高額金錢,他深深感謝台灣當時溫暖的支援。
野田進一步指出,他在2011年在國會中正式對台灣提出感謝,但在2012年311大地震週年的追悼儀式上,他當時是首相,卻對台灣駐日代表無法有周到的對待(指未邀請台灣代表上台獻花),他除了對台灣代表致歉外,今天也要對台灣民眾致上歉意,真的非常感謝台灣的深情厚義。
他比喻,日本發生311大地震後,就像下了一場大雨,而台灣這位朋友幫日本撐了一把非常大的傘,所以「台灣是真正的朋友」。
談到台日關係,野田說他在首相任內推動開放天空政策,大幅推動台日人員交流,他透露,有次他到日本山形縣,臨時決定要去泡溫泉,結果當地每一家旅館都客滿了,都是來自台灣的旅客,讓他大為吃驚。
野田表示,希望未來台日能夠在政治經濟文化上繼續深化交流,在亞太區域上也有合作空間。
今天前副總統蕭萬長以對外關係協會名譽會長身分出席致詞,他表示,野田是台灣好朋友,也是日本非常傑出的政治家,在首相任內讓台日經貿更密切,也推動海外美術品保障法案,促成後來故宮國寶能到日本展出,接下來日本國寶也要到台灣展覽,再加上台日觀光客大幅增加,推祟野田對推動台日關係做出重大貢獻。
