本會名譽會長蕭前副總統萬長代表我國參與APEC，曾分別與美國國務卿凱瑞、日本首相安倍晉三及新加坡總理李顯龍等人深入交談。其中，蕭萬長與凱瑞談到雙方將更積極推動兩國經貿往來，也提及台灣關係法。蕭萬長指出，凱瑞表示美國重視與台灣的關係，尤其是提供安全的承諾不會改變。
Honorary President of the Association, former Deputy Vice President, President Mr. Wan represented our country in APEC. He had in-depth talks with US Secretary of State Kerry, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. Among them, Yang Wanchang and Kerry talked about the two sides will more actively promote economic and trade exchanges between the two countries, and also mentioned the Taiwan Relations Act. Mr. Wu pointed out that Kerry said the U.S. values its relationship with Taiwan, especially its commitment to providing security, will not change.
