「狄敏特演講時表示，美國在亞太區域的聯盟和朋友，都在承受一種國外壓力，這個壓力叫做「中國」。因此美國與亞太盟友需要站在一起面對，大陸試圖改變亞太「領土主權現狀」及「亞太區域秩序」所發起的積極挑戰。」
