The Association for Foreign Relations held a seminar with the Department of Public Administration of Donghua University on March 30, 103, at the Asmaryview Hotel in Hualien, Hualien, and invited people in Hualien to discuss Taiwan's economic, trade and diplomacy issues. Special thanks to Professor Zhu Jingqi, Director of the Department of Public Administration of Donghua University, for co-organizing the joint effort. I also thank DPP Hualien County Party Committee Chairman Guo Yingyi, KMT Hualien County Party Committee Chairman Cai Qita, and Supreme Advisor of the Legislative Yuan President Li Xianren for attending speeches or talks.
