The United newspaper today published comments by Professor Huang Kuibo, the secretary general of the association, discussing the recent unrest in Thailand, Ukraine and Venezuela. The Secretary-General pointed out that the three countries were originally listed as "emerging markets" by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), foreign capital was eager to try, but the failure of democratic consolidation deterred foreign capital or re-orientated investment forces, which also led to a slowdown or even a setback in domestic economic growth, thus even more against the movement to add firewood.
