AFR to hold Panel on Int'l Assessment and Attitudes toward the Trump Administration of the US

The Association of Foreign Relations (AFR) will hold a panel on the International Assessment and Attitudes toward the Trump Administration of the US on December 19, 2016, to take place in the ZhongXiao branch of GlobalTown International Conference Center in Taipei City. This time, experts specialized in Japan, Russia, China and European Union Studies are to give talks on the international assessmemnt and attitudes towards the Trump administration of the US.

About the Panel: 
On November 8, 2016, Donald Trump won the electoral votes and got elected as the 45th President of the United States, defeating the Democratic Party nominee and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. 
He outlined the policy plans for his first 100 days in office, including withdrawing from the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal, cancelling restrictions on shale and clean coal, investigating work visa abuses, and
imposing a five-year ban on people leaving government to become lobbyists, etc. In addition, he also picked moderate conservative Reince Priebus as Chief of Staff, alternative-right Stephen Bannon as Chief Strategist, South Carolina governor Nikki Haley of Indian descent as Ambassador to the United Nations, billionaire-investor Wilbur Ross as Secretary of Commerce, and retired army general Michael Flynn as National Security Adviser. 

Faced with enormous unpredictability of Trump’s foreign policies upon his taking office, how do other countries/regions perceive the Trump team? Will the Trump administration turn out the way we think it is and fulfill his pre-election promises? Or will it re-examined and changed its current stances?
